Welcome to the IWCE-10 registration page. In addition to the conference we have a number of pre- and post-conference activities available for those who might arrive a day or so before the conference. Hotel reservations must be made seperately from the conference registration.

Conference Registration Costs

$350     Registration before October 1, 2004
$400     Registration after October 1, 2004
$200     Student Registration

Registration fees include meals, conference proceedings, abstract booklets, and additional handouts. Please use the forms below to process your registration. Our online registration will be available at the end of this week (August 27th).

For those wishing to bring a guest to the Tuesday evening banquet, there is an additional fee of $50.

The conference check-in and Welcome Reception will begin at 6:00 pm, Sunday evening in the West Faculty lounge of the Purdue Student Memorial Union.

PRE CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES

Following are several activities you may choose to participate in while you are here. Please be sure to mark on your registration form which activities you would like to participate in.

Purdue Football If you are arriving on or before Saturday, October 23, 2004, you may wish to attend the Purdue vs. Michigan football game. Tickets for this game must be purchased directly through the through the Purdue athletic ticket office.

Saturday evening, "Wolf Howl" at Wolf Park. Transportation will be provided to and from the park. There will be a $5 cash onsite entrance fee at the park.

Sunday, October 24, 2004, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, a tutorial on the programming language Python will be presented by Patrick Miller, Eric Jones, and Travis Oliphant. This tutorial will require an additional $50 fee and is listed on the registration from. Click here for more information on the Python Tutorial.

Sunday, October 24, 2004, we are planning a trip from 9 am to 4pm, to Indianapolis to tour the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where the United States Grand Prix (Formula One Race), Indy 500 and the Brickyard 400 races are held each year. From the Speedway we will proceed to the Eiteljorg Museum for lunch and a tour. This excursion will cost an additional $50 for the full day and is listed on the registration form.


Ride the Wabash Trolley Line!. See all that downtown has to offer. Ride free to restaurants, shops, cultural, arts and entertainment venues in downtown Lafayette. There is a trolley every 10 or 15 minutes.

POST CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES

The Frank Lloyd Wright House "Samara". After the conference we are planning a trip to visit West Lafayette's Frank Lloyd Wright house. Transportation will be provided and there will be a $10 onsite entrance fee. Click here for more information on the Samara house.

REGISTRATION FORMS

On-line registration is not currently available due to unforeseen problems. Unfortunately, it may not be an option, so we encourage you to download the IWCE-10 Registration Form (PDF) and either fax it or mail it to the address listed on the form. (Early registration deadline: October 1st)

Refund Policy: We will refund your money in full up to the first day of the conference with an approved written request. We will not refund any amount after the conference begins.

HOTEL INFORMATION

We have reserved a block of rooms at the following hotels. When making your reservation at one of these hotels please let them know you are part of the IWCE conference.

Purdue Memorial Union Hotel
Conveniently located on campus between Grant Street, State Street and Northwestern Avenue, West Lafayette. Call (800) 320-6291 for information and reservations.

Holiday Inn Select City Center
15 South Street, Lafayette, IN (5 minutes from campus in downtown Lafayette) Call (800) 423-1137 for information and reservations. Transportation is via Walbash Trolley Line. The trolley leaves from the hotel every 10 minutes from 7:05a.m. to 5:25p.m. and every 15 minutes from 5:35p.m. through 8:50p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday service is every 15 minutes from 10:05a.m. through 4:50p.m. No Sunday service. Reservation cutoff date is September 24th.

Hilton Garden Inn
356 East State Street, West Lafayette, IN. (5 minutes from campus) Call (765) 743-2100 for more information and reservations. The Hilton has a complementary van available every 30 minutes from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Registration cutoff date is October 3rd.

Student Housing
Lower cost housing is available for students through Purdue University Housing. A minimal stay of 3 nights is required. For reservations call: 765.494.2090. Limited availability. These apartments are 15 minutes walking distance from the conference center.
